In Loving Memory of Vawnhue Hunter

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vawnhue Hunter, who was called home on January 16, 2026. Born on July 28, 1961, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Vawnhue was a beloved son to Emma Hunter and Napoleon Jackson.

Vawnhue is preceded in death by his parents, Emma Hunter and Napoleon Jackson; his grandmother, Floree Rather; his grandfather, Pastel Lee Hunter; his uncle, Claud Arthur Hunter; and his brother, Renard Jackson. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Vawnhue leaves behind a loving family, including his uncle, William Hunter, and his siblings: three brothers, Napoleon Nation, Nathaniel Nation, and Edmond Nation; as well as two sisters, Nicole Nation and Mini Davis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

In accordance with his wishes, Vawnhue will be laid to rest in Shelbyville, Texas, alongside his mother. His legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
