Sheldon Greenwood Sr., affectionately known as 'The Mechanic,' passed away on February 14, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Born on September 28, 1961, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Evelyn L Prince and Claudy S. Greenwood Sr., Sheldon developed a passion for cars at the young age of 14, thanks to his beloved Uncle Alfrorence Dorsey Sr. This passion led to a lifelong career in the automotive industry, where he accumulated over 50 years of experience, sharing his love and knowledge with family and friends.

Sheldon was preceded in death by his late wife, Lisa R Greenwood, his mother and stepfather, Evelyn L Prince and Brian Thomas, his sister Katherine Richardson, his son Larry Hysaw, and his beloved Aunt Dorathy Serino and Uncle Alforence 'UNC' Dorsey.

He is survived by his children: Deontraines C Deleon (David), Stephanie M Hardeway (Jarius), Do'Rathy & (Kendall) Qristopher RHysaw (Krstate), Sheldon R Greenwood Jr II, Sheldrina R Greenwood, Jasmine Greenwood (Jason), Sabrina Greenwood, Jonathan Greenwood, Ashley Prado (Brian); his sister Sandra F Neal of Corpus Christi, TX, Sharon A Greenwood of San Antonio, TX; his brother Darryl Greenwood of Corpus Christi, TX, Bobby G Greenwood of San Antonio, TX; his sister Ursta Goodley; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family.
