IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Romeo Botello
Jr.
September 21, 1960 – November 24, 2025
Romeo Botello Jr., 65, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on November 24, 2025, after enduring an extensive and courageous medical journey. He was born on September 21, 1960, in Robstown, Texas to Romeo Botello Sr, and Carolina Ramirez Botello. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister, Bobby (Robert) Garcia, Joe Manuel Garcia, both from New Mexico, Albert Botello, and Christine Garcia Armenta both of Robstown, Texas. Romeo is also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Robin Nicole Botello. He is survived by his children, Jacqueline Fuentes, and Romeo ("Trey") Botello III of Corpus Christi, Texas, and five brothers and sisters: Guadalupe (Tiny) Garcia, David Garcia, Gilbert Botello, Marianne Moreno, and Carrie Majors.
For many years, Romeo worked as a butcher at Moody's Meat Market and HEB, then later traveled many miles as a truck driver. Beyond his professional life, his greatest role was being a devoted father to his three children. He found happiness in spending time with his family and friends, taking his faithful companion Scrappy on adventures, tending to his beautiful plants, being an avid feeder to squirrels and birds, or grilling his famous brisket. Even through illness and hard times Romeo always made sure to be there for others, lending a helping hand, his last dollar, some of his delicious home cooking, or just being there to listen. Through kindness and humor, he showed strength was possible.
He was a life teacher to many he knew or even met once. Romeo will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
