Margarita “Margie” Ortiz, 70 went home to be with her lord and savior on July 11, 2026. Margarita was born on September 16, 1955 in Corpus Christi to Hiram and Umbrlina Ortiz (both deceased).

Margarita was a native of Corpus Christi. For 30 plus years she was a CNA and loved her work. Margarita was a good mom, grandmother and great grandmother and sister and niece, cousin and friend to many family and friends.  She brought joy and laughter to many. She was a chilled and laid back person. She enjoyed spending time talking or texting to her loved ones.  Margarita loved old school soul and R&B music and oldies.  She loved to dance from time to time.  She enjoyed having a good time with family and friends.  She also enjoyed having a few cold ones and just sitting outside and just enjoy the air and listening to the trees swaying back and forth with the wind.  She also enjoyed listening to the different types of birds chirping and flying around.  Margarita also enjoyed bowling and shooting darts back in her days.  Margarita enjoyed her cats and dogs and from time to time would take in stray animals.  She loved to watch discovery channel and national geographic shows about nature and wildlife.  Whenever Margarita spent time with her children, grandchildren or great grandchildren it really brought her joy and she cherished every moment she could get.  Overall, Margarita was very content and blessed with the life and family that God blessed her with and she would give thanks for the blessings.

Margarita left the world and her beautiful family to soon but she lived a fulfilling life. She surely will be missed but our memories of her will live on forever in our hearts, minds and souls.

Margarita is preceded in death by her mother and father Hiram and Umbelina Ortiz.

Margarita is survived by her children Pamela Redix, Robert Redix III (Audie Redix) and Charles Starcher (Stacey Gomez).

She is also survived by her grandchildren Robert Redix IV, John David Flores (Kendra), Harold Riley Jr, Adrian and Ava. And also her great grandchildren Ruby Redix, Victoria, Adelina, Milano, Anthony, Jade, Jaylee and Janel. She is also survived by her two siblings Robert Ortiz and Cynthia Ortiz

Please join us in remembering Margarita “Margie” Ortiz and all the wonderful things about her life and cherish.
