It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Manolito Espino, Jr., known to his family and friends by a few nicknames: Boyce, Mano or Manny. Born on January 14, 1958, in Corpus Christi, TX. Mano left us on January 3, 2026, leaving a void that can never be filled. With Mano's departure, we remember a life lived with immense love and a constant sense of caring.

He moved away from Corpus Christi during his early childhood as his family was relocated to various states within the U.S. and the South Pacific. He returned to Corpus Christi in 1972 when his father retired from the U.S. Navy. Mano attended Richard King High School from 1972-1973. He entered the U.S. Army in 1974. Returning to Corpus Christi again where he spent the duration of his life.

While overseas, Mano learned to play the guitar. He found his true calling in music; it was his God given talent. He found joy in the world through singing. There was not a family event that he was not asked, “please play for us.” He was often found sitting on the Corpus Christi bayfront seawall stumming his guitar and singing his tunes. His voice will be greatly missed.

Mano is preceded in death by his brother, Philip Anthony Espino, and his parents, Rafaela and Manolito Espino. He is survived by his sister, Nelia Lerma (Jose Luis), brother, John Espino (Mari), sister, Laura Chamber (Darrell), brother, Joseph Espino, brother, Ernest Espino.
