IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Rodgers
Price
January 10, 1946 – April 14, 2025
Linda Rodgers Price, lovingly known as "The Working Lady," passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 10, 1946, Linda was the youngest of 15 children and a true testament to resilience, dedication, and strength.
With only a sixth-grade education—cut short by long hours working in the cotton fields—Linda built a life rooted in love, hard work, and determination. She wore many hats throughout her life but found her calling in caregiving, a career she continued passionately until January 16, 2025. Her work ethic was unmatched, driven by her deep love for her family. No task was too great, and no challenge could ever slow her down.
Linda's crystal blue eyes held a heart of gold. She was a go-getter, a fighter, and a nurturer who gave her all to those she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Wilburn Dewayne Price; her children, Stacy Lynn Price and Tracy Price; and her sister, Kathelene Ritchie. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward with pride and love.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, William F. Rodgers and Thelma Jones Rodgers; her infant daughter, Theresa Price; her grandson, Nicholas Price; and 13 cherished siblings.
Linda's legacy is one of fierce love, endless perseverance, and a life fully lived. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
