Jerry Tanguma Garcia, lovingly known as “Jer Bear” and “Big Sexy,” passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed by all who knew him. To many, he was an uncle, a brother, and a friend—but to those closest to him, he was like a father, a protector, and a constant presence in their lives. Jer Bear was known for his wild spirit, big personality, and blunt honesty, all balanced by a heart that was genuinely kind. He lived life full and life loud leaving behind memories filled with laughter, strength, and unforgettable moments. He had a rare way of making people feel seen, protected, and loved in his own unique way. His loyalty ran deep, especially to his family, and he always showed up when it mattered most. Jerry proudly dedicated over 20 years as a loyal member of the Calaveras Motorcycle Club, a brotherhood that meant the world to him and reflected his commitment, loyalty, and strength. After a difficult journey, his pain and suffering came to an end. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing he is now at peace. Big Sexy is reunited in heaven with his siblings and his son who passed before him, along with his parents. He leaves behind a grieving yet grateful family who will carry his legacy forward through stories, love, and the lessons he taught simply by being himself. A Memorial service will be held on February 7 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Saxet Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas. Pastor Steve Raguini of Victory Outreach will lead a short service at 3:00 p.m. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing; his urn will be present. Rest in peace, Jer Bear. You will never be forgotten
