James "Jim" Robert DeMay, aged 76, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at Corpus Christi Bay Area Hospital. Born on August 3, 1948, Jim graduated from high school in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1966. He was drafted into the Army in 1968 and served honorably until December 5, 1974.

After his discharge, Jim moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where he started and successfully ran his own business. It was at his business that he met his beloved wife, Mary DeMay. Jim retired in 2023, enjoying his well-earned rest after years of hard work and dedication.

Jim had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought joy to his life. He was an avid coin collector, had a passion for muscle cars, and was a master poker player. He also enjoyed a good whiskey drink, often sharing stories and laughter with friends and family.

Jim is survived by his wife Mary DeMay, his son Matthew DeMay and daughter-in-law Anne DeMay, his stepdaughter-in-law Susie Vanderford, his stepson Nathan Vanderford, and his grandchildren Amos and Ellis Vanderford. He was preceded in death by his mother Luella DeMay, his father Edward DeMay, his brother Terry DeMay, and his stepson Mark Vanderford.

Jim will be remembered for his service to his country, his entrepreneurial spirit, and the love he had for his family. His legacy lives on through his loved ones and the many lives he touched throughout his journey.
