Israel stood as a beacon of hard work and intelligence. He was known for being smart, funny, creative, kind, and understanding—qualities that endeared him to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey in education was historic within his family, becoming the first to graduate from college. He attained a degree as a diesel mechanic, a testament to his determination and drive to build a better life for himself and those around him.
His professional journey led him to excel as a sous chef, where his love for cooking and artistry shone brightly. Israel found great joy and purpose in his work, bringing the same attention to detail and warmth to the kitchen as he did to every other aspect of his life.
Israel’s accomplishments reached far beyond his professional achievements. Above all else, he was most proud of his children, considering them his greatest legacy. His devotion to his family was matched only by his joy in their achievements and happiness.
He lived a life rich in interests and pursuits. He delighted in drawing, working on cars, fishing, and was particularly gifted in wood working and tinkering. Israel held a deep appreciation for the arts and loved animals, with every project and pastime reflecting his profound creativity and gentle soul.
Israel is lovingly survived by his children, Ann Marie Cervantes, Isreal Jr Cervantes, Jeranimo Cervantes, Maribel Lyzzette Cervantes, and John Paul Cervantes, who continue to honor his legacy. He is also remembered and cherished by Thelma Cervantes, Geneva Simcik, Gabreal Salas Cervantes, Cecilia Cervantes, Angel Sales Zapata, Cecilio Gonzalez Cervantes. Their lives are a testament to his enduring spirit, kindness, and wisdom.
Throughout his life, Israel inspired those around him with his ability to bring people together, solve problems with ingenuity, and extend a helping hand whenever needed.
