Irene M. Garza Casares, age 68, while surrounded by loved ones, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior.

Proceeding her are her father, Ricardo Garza, mother Irene Robles Garza, as well as her three brothers Ricardo Garza “Jr. “, Roberto Garza, and Lorenzo "Loy" Garza. Surviving her are her three sisters, Manuela Thompson (Ronnie), Janie Garza, and Gracie Cardona (Martin), one brother, Ruben Garza (Sue), as well as her son Dan Casares (Patricia) and her daughter Amanda Theiss (Peter). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Ricardo and Irene Garza, she held an incredible sense of humor and an outrageous personality. A social butterfly in life, she made friends wherever she went. Irene truly blossomed when surrounded by others. Although Irene will be missed greatly, she will be rejoicing in Heaven where she now rests.

Private viewing will be held on February 11th, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Saxet Funeral Home on 4001 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78408. Celebration of life will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
