HOWARD ANDERSON
December 20, 1973 – February 22, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Anderson, a beloved family man and cherished friend, who left us unexpectedly on February 22, 2026, in his birthplace of Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on December 20, 1973, Howard’s early roots in Corpus Christi grew into a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and dedication both to his family and his career.
Howard was a proud graduate of Miller High School, where the foundation of his character—warmth, humor, and loyalty—was laid. Throughout his life, he worked with passion and pride, managing at iHop and sharing his culinary talents as a cook at Water Street Seafood and Cracker Barrel. His commitment to his work was only rivaled by his devotion to those he loved.
More than his professional accomplishments, Howard was a true family man, remembered by all for his good sense of humor and the joy he found in spending time with friends and family. He had a unique penchant for collecting, filling his life with cherished collectibles, cars, and Sports cards that reflected his vibrant personality and zest for life.
He leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory dearly: his son Juwan Anderson and daughter Sommaya; his brother Patrick Anderson; nieces Patrice Anderson and Paige Anderson; granddaughters Jaylinn Anderson and Jordan Anderson; daughter-in-law Kayla Shelton; and his mother Hazel Johnson and father Howard Anderson SR. These cherished individuals, along with many friends whose lives he touched, will forever remember Howard’s kind spirit and generous heart.
Howard was also preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Beulah Waters, whose memory he held close throughout his life.
A viewing to honor Howard’s life will be held on March 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Saxet Funeral Home, located at 4001 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, TX 78408. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate a life defined by love and laughter, to share stories, and to find comfort in one another’s company.
Though Howard’s passing was sudden and unexpected, the impact he made on the hearts of those who knew him is enduring. His warmth, humor, and dedication live on in the memories of those who loved him deeply. As we remember Howard Anderson, we hold close the gift of his presence in our lives and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.
Rest in peace, Howard—you are deeply missed but forever remembered.
