Glenda Ellen Hammons, age 71, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on February 15, 2025. Born on August 15, 1953, in Alice, Texas, to Glenn and Helen Dearsan, Glenda grew up in Alice and Beeville, Texas. She graduated in 1971 in Beeville and attended BC College. Glenda worked as a legal secretary for over twenty years in Corpus Christi.

In January 2002, she married Ridge Hammons, embracing a new chapter in her life and the role of stepmother to Aimie Pfeiffer and Will Hammons. Glenda is survived by her devoted husband, Ridge Hammons; her cherished son, Zach, and his wife, Angela; and her adored grandchildren, Dax and Lyla. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Helen Wright; her sister, Diane Dearsan (Bill Blackmon); her brother, John Wright (Sonia); and her niece and nephew, Stephanie and Jonathan. Additionally, she is survived by her stepchildren, Amie (Zach) Pfeiffer and Will Hammons.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, The Sigles, and paternal grandparents, The Dearsons, as well as her stepfather, Charlie Wright.

Glenda's life was defined by her deep love for family and friends. She had a green thumb and found joy in gardening, practicing Tai Chi, and painting. She had a need for speed, a love for her Mustang, and a soft spot for animals—especially her darling Jolie. A gifted cook, she delighted in creating meals for those she loved. The ocean called to her soul, and she found beauty in capturing birds and nature through her photography.

She embodied love and always listened without judgement. Glenda was a loving presence, who lived life to the fullest with joy, gratitude, and perseverance, leaving behind a legacy of love and light. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
