On March 8th, 2025, Gabriel Cruz entered into Heaven's kingdom. Born on December 24, 1975, in Corpus Christi to Martin and Angelita Cruz, Gabriel will be remembered for his contagious laugh and signature catchphrases. A man of God, he remained faithful through life's trials and tribulations. Gabriel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, and friend to many.

Preceded in death by his father Martin Cruz and brother Joe Anthony, Gabriel leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his wife Amanda Puente, daughters Latoya and Alicia Cruz, son Gabriel Cruz Jr., and his mother Angie. His family also includes his father and mother-in-law Oscar and Rose Ann Puente, sister-in-law Krystal Ann Puente, brothers Martin and Daniel Cruz, sister Isabel, and six grandchildren. Nieces and nephews will also carry on his memory.

Gabriel was a man of many talents, known for his ability to take a car apart and reassemble it. His career as a Super trucker was a significant achievement, and he ended his career in the oilfield with Balboa Trucking in 2021. After meeting Amanda Puente, he moved to Midland, Texas, and together they managed American Movers 361 and American Maids 361. Gabriel fulfilled his dream of owning a Harley Davidson and joining a motorcycle club.

A service will be held on Friday, March 21st, at Saxet Funeral Home from 3 to 9 PM, with the rosary recited at 6 PM. A burial will follow on Saturday, March 22nd, at Rose Hill Cemetery at 11:30 AM. The family extends their gratitude to all who have supported them during this time.
