Eliberto "Beto" Escamilla March 16, 1936 – June 23, 2025

With deep sorrow and hearts full of love, we announce the passing of Eliberto "Beto" Escamilla on June 23, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was 89 years old.  A devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, and friend, Beto lived a life full of hard work, joy, and connection.

A Life Well-Lived
Born on March 16, 1936, Beto dedicated his life to honest work and deep family bonds. As a welder and fabricator, he worked with pride and perseverance well into his 70s. His hands shaped not just metal, but also the lives of those around him. For the last 23 years of his life, Beto shared a beautiful life with his wife Diana Reyes, creating cherished memories. He left a lasting impression on Diana's family, becoming an inseparable part of their family and hearts.

Robert Escamilla – Somerville, MA, Grandchildren: Robert Branch, Noah Escamilla, Nathaniel Escamilla, Ila Robinson-Escamilla. Yanira Escamilla Giannino (Gregory John) – Cambridge, MA, Grandchildren: Gregory John Giannino II, Samuel Hawk Giannino. Kimberly Robin Garza (Michael) – Corpus Christi, TX, Grandchildren: Olivia Elyanna Garza, Michael Paul Garza II. Eric Jason Escamilla – Corpus Christi, TX, Grandson: Edward Lee Escamilla, Vivian Rose Escamilla. He is also survived by the grandchildren of his beloved late son Edward "Eddie" Escamilla-Grandchild Joshua Joseph Lee, Great-grandchildren: Jakob Lee, Joziah Lee, Jax Lee, Jaqueline Lee, Jeremiah Lee. Elizabeth LeighAn Escamilla- Great-grandson: Noah Widow. Edward Lee Escamilla II- Jose "Joe" Manuel Escamilla- Grandchild Jason Contreras.

Welcomed Home
Beto is reunited in eternal peace with his parents, Manuel Escamilla and Guadalupe Alvarez Escamilla, his stepfather Calletano Ramirez, his siblings Manuel Escamilla Jr. and Maria Elena Ramirez Elizarde, and his sons Eliberto "Burt" Escamilla Pennington, Edward "Eddie" Lee Escamilla, and Jose "Joe" Manuel Escamilla.

A Spirit That Lit Up the Room
A lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Beto cherished his Sundays watching football. He found joy in social gatherings with close friends and took special pleasure in dancing the night away with Diana. Known for his infectious catchphrase— "Hey, my friend!"—Beto never met a stranger. His stories, jokes, and laughter brought warmth to all who knew him.
