IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Delia
Aleman
March 14, 1957 – July 27, 2025
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Delia Guajardo Aleman, passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 23 Delia was born on March 14, year unknown, in Edinburg, Texas, to Elias and Ascidalia Guajardo. She was one of four siblings, and though her sisters Alma Bowers and Criselda Alvarado preceded her in passing, she remained close to her brother Paul Guajardo throughout her life; they called themselves "The Last of The Mohicans." She spent most of her years on the outskirts of Robstown, Texas, where she and her husband Raul Aleman raised their family and built a life full of love, laughter, and really good food. Delia was the heart of our home. She was a woman of quiet faith who believed deeply in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She didn't need a church building to live out her beliefs—she did that through the way she cared for others every single day. Delia had a degree in early childhood development and spent many years teaching and running a daycare, where her patience and warmth made her a natural with children. She also ran an office supply business for several years, always leaning into her entrepreneurial spirit. Delia also had a sharp eye for real estate and spent years managing rental properties with care and determination. She took pride in maintaining each property and built lasting relationships with her tenants—many of whom came to see her as more than just a landlord. She had a knack for spotting potential and wasn't afraid of hard work, even if that usually meant delegating said hard work to her favorite son. Real estate wasn't just a side project for her—it was another way she provided for her family. But no job ever meant more to her than being a mom and a grandma aka "Mima". The last decade of her life was dedicated to helping raise her grandchildren, and she poured everything she had into them. If you ever came by the house, chances are you were invited in for a plate of food—Delia's kitchen was always busy, and her door was always open. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and a wisdom that her kids (and their friends) leaned on constantly. She was our safe place, our sounding board, our teacher, and our comfort. Delia is survived by her husband Raul Aleman, her children Kristina Aleman Costilla and Marco Aleman, her son-in-law Carlos Costilla Jr., her daughter-in-law Sonya Aleman, and her two grandchildren Emily Quinn and Carlos Raul Costilla. She was deeply loved, and her presence will be missed beyond words, she will always be 23 in our hearts
