Carolyn Yvonne Holleman

Carolyn Yvonne Holleman, 67, of Sandia, Texas, passed away on December 18th, 2025.

The daughter of Donald Buendel and Carolyn May, she was born on December 18th, 1958, in Pleasanton, Texas. The late Yvonne was a daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many people. She enjoyed every role that she played. Since 2002, she has served as a municipal court clerk for the city of Orange Grove.

Her marriage to Donald Holleman took place on January 31st, 1980. They had been married for 45 years. The two of them enjoyed riding his Harley together and picking on each other. A beautiful family was shared between them, with her son, Ronnie, and their daughter, Brittany. Additionally, she was blessed with five grandchildren: Wyatt, Corvin, Madison, Chance, and Emily, as well as a great-granddaughter, Ophelia.

It was Yvonne's passion to do many things. She was an excellent cook, and her cherry cheese cupcakes were amazing. Her sewing skills were also exceptional. Most of all, she enjoyed floating down the river on a tube with her family (especially with her sisters).

She is survived by her husband, Donald Holleman (Sandia, TX); two children, Ronnie Atchley (Corpus Christi), Brittany Plummer (Casey) (Orange Grove); and five grandchildren, Wyatt (California), Corvin, Madison, Chance, and Emily. As well as a great-granddaughter, Ophelia. Parents Donald Bunedel and Carolyn May. There are four siblings: Douglas Buendel (Kay) of Odessa, Texas; Brenda Shumate (Corpus Christi, Texas); Nancy Ladd (Corpus Christi, Texas); and Jeffery Buendel (Austin, Texas). There are many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Predeceased are Granny & Grandpa Buendel and Granny and Grandpa May.

Celebration of life will be on January 10th, 2026, between 2 and 5 at the Riverbend 534 Club—address: 495 FM 534, Sandia, TX 78383. Feel free to bring flowers or whatever your heart desires.
