CORPUS CHRISTI - Annie Jean Hatfield, aged 88, of Corpus

Christi, TX, passed away on April 16, 2025. Born on March 7, 1937, An-

nie dedicated 38 years to nursing, profoundly impacting her community through her compassion and care. She also served

as President of the Unit-

ed Methodist Women (U.M.W.) for two years, demonstrating her commitment to service and leadership.

Annie was a graduate of Solomon Coles High School and furthered her education at Del Mar College. Her commitment to her faith was evident as she was an active member of both St. Paul U.M.C. and St. John U.M.C., where she also participated in the choir, blending her love for music with her spiritual life.

Her hobbies included playing tennis, traveling to new and exciting places, and singing in the choir, each reflecting her zest for life and love for adventure.

Annie leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Clinton C. Hatfield; grandchildren William, Erica, Jessica, Porsche, Jonathan, Justin, Jake, Jena, and Josh; eleven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Also a vast amount of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister Ella Clerkley and brothers families Troy & Glenda

Bell and Gerald & Vanessa Bell also siblings-in-law, Joe Bell, Betty Bell. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Hatfield Sr.; her son, William C. Hatfield Jr.; and several members of her extended family.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on May 3 at St. John U.M.C. at 11 a.m. with a casual dress code encouraged, with lunch being served right after services reflecting her warm and welcoming nature.

Annie Hatfield will be remembered as a nurturing, caring individual who was deeply family-oriented and loving, leaving a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her. Memorial contributions can be made to St.

John or St. Paul churches in memory of Annie.
