It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Adolfo V. Saenz. Born on September 9, 1942, in Loma Alta Ranch, TX, Adolfo was a cherished son of Pedro and Asuncion Saenz. He entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2025, at his residence in Corpus Christi, TX, at the age of 82.

In 1970, Adolfo married his late wife, Josie Cavazos Saenz, and together they built a loving family with two sons, a daughter, grandchildren, and many Godchildren. Adolfo's career began at Lacks Furniture Store as a shipping and receiving clerk. He later pursued his passion for education, graduating from Del Mar College with a degree in Early Childhood Development. His calling led him to become a pastor in the Baptist Christian faith, ministering across Texas, Iowa, and Nebraska. Adolfo dedicated his life to serving the Lord, sharing his voice and guitar in many church services.

Adolfo is survived by his son Gabriel Cavazos (Belia), daughter Kimberly De La Fuente (Luis), and grandchildren Annika, John Paul, Miklos, Izabella, Lillianna, Luis, Brandi, Jennifer, Clarissa, and Raquel. He is also survived by his sisters Alma Saenz and Emelina Saenz Garcia (Robert-Deceased), along with numerous nephews and nieces, including Robert Garcia, Jr. (Esmeralda), David Garcia (Heather), Linda Roberts (Bob-Deceased), Rick Garcia (Susan), Alonzo Garcia, Albert Fuentes (Jenny), Arnold Fuentes (Mirna), Sandra Valle (Roland), Sharon Franco (Albert), and Melissa Ruiz (Jerardo).

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Josie Cavazos Saenz, his son Johnny Cavazos, and his parents Pedro and Asuncion Saenz.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Johns United Methodist Church, 5300 S. Alameda St. Corpus Christi, TX 78412, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Adolfo will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his musical talents, and the countless memories he left behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
